How This Started
Teddy Bear Mobile didn’t start as a business — it was a way of giving back to the community, and of course, making kids smile. The goal was to bring joy to children facing serious illness and hard circumstances. Over the years, thousands of animals have been donated, and that mission hasn’t stopped.
At one of those charity events, a mother asked if we could host an at-home stuffing party for her daughter’s birthday — she was tired of the same party, year after year. We were happy to take the fun of animal stuffing on the road, and the party was a hit.
Word spread, and Teddy Bear Mobile grew into mobile entertainment for parties, schools, daycares, corporate events, and fundraisers — with the extra revenue going right back into the charitable giving that started it all. A decade of sourcing, testing, and engineering the right equipment later, Teddy Bear Mobile is the nation’s only training program for large-scale stuffing events. People are enjoying themselves, and more kids are smiling.
Our Hill Country Chapter
Teddy Bear Mobile – Hill Country launched in 2022, bringing that same mission to Central Texas — the Hill Country, Austin, and San Antonio corridor. It’s run by Dennis and “Chief Executive Bear” Karen, along with a team that treats every event like it’s the only one that day.
We’ve also run dozens of large corporate events for hundreds of furry friends, and given back hundreds more animals through school and community fundraisers.

Hello, My Name is Tex
Once upon a spring day in Blanco, a fresh batch of off-white teddy bears arrived at the shop, soft and ready to be stuffed. A gentle wind carrying the scent of bluebonnets and cedar brushed through — and left behind a brilliant white star, a square of azure blue, and a ribbon of bravery-red, all wrapped around the most curious bear in the bunch.
The colors unified right down his middle, his nose turned a happy red, and his smile locked into place. That’s the moment Tex knew he was no ordinary bear — and became the official mascot of Teddy Bear Mobile – Hill Country.

The Lone Star on his blue side isn’t lonely — it’s unity. A promise of constant friendship to every child he meets.
Bravery-in-Hugging
His red side is about the bravery to make a new friend, stand up for a buddy, or ask for a hug on a hard day.

His white muzzle and red-heart nose stand for wholesome, 100% happiness. No grumpiness allowed around here.
